Learn how to safely prepare and administer methoxyflurane (Penthrox®), a pain management tool newly approved for Albertan paramedics.

Highlights from this course include:

  • Methoxyflurane (Penthrox®) indications/contraindications for use.

  • Adverse effects of methoxyflurane (Penthrox®) and their management.

  • Safety considerations in the administration of methoxyflurane (Penthrox®).

This course can be claimed for 6 CE credits.

PCPs can also submit their certificate from this course to gain the “Administration of Methoxyflurane” endorsement on their permit.
